초록
As urban security has become more advanced and the need for safety in daily life and industry has grown, surveillance camera systems have become a crucial infrastructure for a range of purposes, including preventing and responding to crime, and ensuring the safety of facilities. While pan-tilt camera systems offer superior field of view and operational efficiency compared to fixed cameras, they typically require significant computational resources for object detection and tracking, which can be costly. This study developed a privacy masking method based on approximate perspective transform using pan-tilt cameras to enhance surveillance efficiency and reduce costs. Once the privacy masking region is set up, the region's movement can be computed with minimal computational effort, even as the fan-tilt camera's orientation changes. The results showed superior performance compared to existing methods that utilize the spherical coordinate system, as demonstrated through simulations and experiments.
