초록
Female dancers with low energy availability generally show functional hypothalamicamenorrhea(FHA) and endothelial dysfunction(ED). As the low serum concentration ofestrogen impairs the function of endothelial cells, FHA can be taken as a warning sign ofthe occurrence of ED. FHA and ED are closely inter-correlated and hazardous to the healthof female dancers. In this study the flow-mediated dilation(FMD) is introduced as apractical technique to diagnose ED. The remaining parts deal with how the low energyavailability induce FHA and ED. Finally, some therapeutical methods for ED are discussed.
