The purpose of this study is to examine the convergence in dance combining with visual media from the viewpoint of tactility. This research goes beyond the ocular-centrism seemingly dominant in convergence dance to be examined through visual tactility and the enlarged tactility. Visual tactility is not about direct touching but about visuality connecting all the senses. Furthermore, the extended concept of tactility includes not only the physical contact from the haptic interface but also experiential dimensions involving whole body. The tactility raises questions regarding the established concept, appreciation, or range of dance and plays crucial roles in increasing its expandability.
