The purpose of this study is to analyze the dance film Black Swan with the aesthetic theory of uncanny which is a useful frame for analyzing dance where the body is considered to be an important medium, and is worth researching in that it is directly or indirectly related to the body. Overall, this movie shows the aesthetics of uncanny by clearly revealing the ambivalence of oppressed desire, trauma, and obsession behind the ballerina's beautiy through the motif of double or doppelganger.
Abstract
