초록
Mexico and other Latin American countries have opted to industrial development as a way to access the economic and social welfare. This dyad industrialization and welfare are elements of political discourse in the State of Guanajuato, as a way to raise the standard of living. However, there are still social deficits resulting from an inequitable distribution of benefits. Here we argue that economic studies of macroeconomic indicators on welfare should be complemented with micro social studies demonstrating the social heterogeneity. In this work we assume that the welfare workers seek him besides the State, using its own resources, the work and other spaces of social networks. In this paper we present the results of the survey on work and welfare of workers in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato a small town near the city of Leon in central Mexico. San Francisco is still famous for its manufacture of straw hats, but in the last twenty years has developed a thriving shoes manufacturing industry. Derived from this transformation we wanted to explore was the view that social welfare workers, as usually managed as linked to industrial growth. Like all social research involves a process of reconstruction of reality among the actors. Show here: a) some information on the theoretical discussion of welfare, b) the importance of the micro social view rescue as a manifestation of broader processes and c) analyzing the results of the survey to a sample of workers in the industry hat and shoes as the two most representative branches in San Francisco del Rincón.
