The purpose of this study is to investigate public art and its expansion to dance in the form of site-specific performance. In Korea, public art is limited to tangible art outcomes such as sculptures and installations for the sake of maintenance and management of government authorities, which may discourage artists and the public from pursuing creative art work and participation in art. Public art needs to encompass other genres of art in the time of convergence art to benefit general public as well as artists in various fields.
