College Dance Club Activity Experience and Teacher Competency in the Domain of Expression in Elementary Physical Education

This study investigates the impact of the college dance club activity ex- perience on the cultivation of teacher competency. As a result, the activ- ities contributed to forming a macroscopic perception of the purpose of the class of expression activity, forming the eyes to understand the sys- tem of the curriculum, and understanding the teaching contents and goals. And the ability to combine and organize a variety of knowledge was formed through the dance club experience. Second, in terms of prac- tice, various demonstrations could be shown. Accordingly, teachers’ effi- cacy and students’ interests expanded, and the ability to seek the har- mony of two parts, skills and expressions was cultivated. In addition, sympathy between students and the teacher could naturally be formed, and feedback during the class was further concretized. Third, in terms of attitude, from the teaching method shared by the teacher and students, it was noted that their consciousness as a community was further strengthened. This expanded into the life other than classes, which made a great contribution to a sense of accomplishment and pride as a teacher.
