Abstract
The stripping characteristics and stripping isotherm for the stripping of cobalt from D2EHPA (Di-2-Ethylhexyl Phosphoric Acid) were studied. The results showed that the stripping of cobalt from D2EHPA reached the equilibrium state after ten minutes. The nitric acid as a stripping solution was more effective than sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid and the stripping efficiency of cobalt increased with increasing concentration of HNO3 and temperature. When the organic solution containing cobalt of 10g/L was treated by 3.0N HNO3 at 45℃ with four stages, more than 99.8% of cobalt was stripped at a phase ratio of O/A=6.
