기존의 인터넷 GIS 개발방식은 프로젝트간의 공유와 재사용이 어려워 추가적인 서버, 데이터베이스, 소프트웨어 요구 등으로 많은 시간과 비용을 소요하여 효율성 저하의 문제가 있어왔다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 본 연구에서는 XML 웹서비스 최신 기술을 이용한 컴포넌트 기반의 개발모델을 설계, 제안하였다. XML 웹서비스 표준에 따름으로써 하드웨어와 소프트웨어의 제약이 없으며, GIS 기능들을 인터넷 상에 컴포넌트 형태로 개발, 공유, 통합함으로써 다양한 프로젝트에 신속하고 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 통해 또한 장기적으로 기존의 방식에 비해 인터넷 GIS 애플리케이션 개발에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 크게 줄여줄 것으로 기대된다. 개발모델과 함께 구체적인 GIS 컴포넌트들을 설계하였으며, 또한 모델의 검증과 향후 활용 및 개선을 위해 실질적인 애플리케이션 형태의 제안과 함께 일부 구현시험을 수행하였다.
Abstract
A model has been suggested for dynamic development of interoperable Internet GIS applications. Suggested model is mainly based on the integration of various GIS components by applying Web Service technology. During designing the model, several examples of GIS Web Service components were suggested and possible applications using these components were also designed. Practical implementation has been carried out to verify and to improve the model. There are some examples based on the suggested model.
