대수층이 존재하는 가스 저류층의 경우 효과적 저류층 관리에 의한 회수율 제고가 가능하며, 이를 위해 저류층 시뮬레이션을 통한 정확한 생산 메커니즘의 이해 및 생산성 예측 과정이 필수적이다. 이 연구에서는 시뮬레이션을 위한 적절한 시스템을 설정하여 저류 유체, 암석 물성 및 대수층 특성 등에 따른 민감도를 분석하였으며, 회수율 증진을 위한 저류층 관리 기술을 적용하여 저류층의 거동 특성을 관찰하였다. 그 결과 자연 고갈에 가깝도록 압력을 적절히 감소시키는 것이 생산성 향상에 있어 매우 중요한 인자임을 알 수 있었으며, 저류층 관리를 위한 방법으로는 가스 생산량 증가보다 물 생산량 증가에 의한 저류층 압력 감소 방법이 가장 효과적인 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 과정을 통해 도출된 결과 및 관리 기술들은 향후 대수층의 영향이 큰 가스 및 가스-컨덴세이트 저류층 관리에 있어서 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
Abstract
Water-drive gas reservoirs can be managed to significantly improve their recovery, and in this process detailed reservoir simulation is necessary to model the dynamics of a gas/aquifer system and predict the productivity of the reservoir. In this study, the sensitivities of reservoir fluids, rock properties, and aquifer characteristics were analyzed and reservoir management strategies for improving recovery were simulated. In order to effectively manage a reservoir, it is important to lower reservoir pressure near depletion process. And increasing water production rate is more effective than increasing gas production rate in lowering reservoir pressure and improving recovery. The results of this study can be utilized in the management of gas and gas-condensate reservoir with strong aquifer.
