초록

The high frequency B-dot probe based diagnostic system had been successfully used to detect the unabsorbed fast ion cyclotron range of frequency waves in EAST tokamak. And the slow wave had been detected at high field side that do not magnetically map to the active antennas and, hence, are not accessible for slow waves launched directly by the active antennas. However, unabsorbed fast waves can reach these regions. The general trend that we observe in these ‘‘un-mapped’’ high field side regions is that the slow wave intensity scales with the strength of the local fast ICRF waves. And the highest slow waves detected in high field side are observed in discharges with the highest levels of unabsorbed ICRF power. Similarly, we find that the impurity in plasma core levels scale with the level of unabsorbed ICRF power suggesting a link between unabsorbed fast ICRF waves intensity and the strength of the impurity source.
