Abstract
This study examines the impact of different allocation methods for common spare parts on military combat readiness using a system dynamics simulation model. Three allocation methods were compared: proportional allocation, criticality allocation, and demand-criticality allocation. This study built a model that simulates equipment operation and maintenance cycles and spare parts inventory management systems and validated its validity through sensitivity analysis. Results indicate that the demand-criticality allocation method, which considers both demand quantity and equipment importance, achieves the most efficient outcomes by maintaining an optimal operational rate for both pieces of equipment while minimizing total costs. These findings suggest that incorporating both demand and importance in spare parts allocation can enhance resource distribution in military logistics systems. The study also highlights the utility of system dynamics simulation in analyzing complex military supply systems and deriving optimal policies. Future research should expand to more complex systems, incorporate real operational data, and explore dynamic allocation strategies over extended time periods.
