= Abstract = Objectives: The purpose of this study is to quantitatively analyze the trends of research related to the prevention of sarcopenia in the elderly using text mining techniques, and to suggest the current state of research and future directions. Methods: This study was conducted in the order of data collection first, followed by data preprocessing and data analysis, and utilized text mining techniques such as word frequency, TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency), N-gram, network analysis, and CONCOR (cluster) analysis to analyze research trends on sarcopenia prevention. Results: The study identified exercise and protein intake as key factors in the prevention of sarcopenia, with the combination of resistance exercise and protein intake playing a particularly important role in preventing sarcopenia. N-gram and network analyses also revealed strong associations between keywords such as “exercise programs, “group interventions” and “obesity management”. CONCOR cluster analysis showed that studies could be broadly categorized into those related to disease prevention and nutrition, exercise intervention programs, metabolic and obesity research, experimental studies, and cognitive and social factors. In particular, the association between social factors and group exercise was highlighted. The LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) topic modeling analysis showed that sarcopenia prevention research is focused on traditional exercise and nutritional approaches, while experimental research continues to explore topics such as physiological mechanisms, gait function and fall prevention, obesity and diet, and empirical validation of intervention programs. Conclusion: Through big data analysis, this study identified major trends in sarcopenia prevention research in Korea and provided evidence for the development of effective prevention programs and policy formulation. Future research should be based on a multidimensional approach, comprehensively considering exercise and nutrition interventions, community-based prevention programs, the use of digital technologies, linkages with obesity management, and strengthening policies at the national level. This will maximize the effectiveness of sarcopenia prevention and provide practical measures to support healthy aging in the elderly.
