시니어창업자 자기결정성의 선행요인과 결과요인에 대한 연구

초록

급격한 출산율 감소와 수명 증대로 우리나라는 급속한 노령화 사회로 진입하면서 청년 실업과 시니어계층의 일자리 창출이 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 특히 시니어창업에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 창업배경, 개인특성, 창업가정신에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으나, 시니어창업자의 창업동기가 자기결정성(자율성, 유능감, 관계성)에 주는 영향 및 자기결정성이 창업가정신에 미치는 영향, 그리고 창업성과를 달성하는데 영향을 주는 주된 요인에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 시니어창업자의 자기결정성의 선행요인인 창업동기와 결과요인인 창업가정신을 매개효과로 하여 창업성과와 창업의도에 대한 영향을 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 시니어창업자의 창업동기인 내부적 동기와 외부적 동기(창업교육, 정부재정지원)가 자기결정성(자율성, 유능감, 관계성)의 선행요인이 될 수 있다는 것을 밝혀내며, 자기결정성(자율성, 유능감, 관계성)이 창업가정신에 미치는 영향과 창업가정신이 결과요인인 창업성과와 창업추천의도에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 시니어창업자의 창업동기 중 내부적 동기는 자기결정성의 자율성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 창업교육은 자기결정성(자율성, 유능감, 관계성)에, 정부재정지원은 관계성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 자기결정성(자율성, 유능감, 관계성)은 창업가정신에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 창업가정신은 창업성과와 창업추천의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이론적, 실무적 시사점과 한계점 및 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

Abstract

Due to the rapid decrease in birth rate and the increase in the life-span, South Korea has entered into a rapidly aging society, and the importance of youth unemployment and job creation of the seniors has emerged. As the interest in senior entrepreneurs has increases, studies on senior entrepreneurship background and affecting personal characteristics have been actively conducted. However, there is little research on the self-determination of senior entrepreneurs or internal and external factors that affect self-determination. In this study, the authors investigated the effect of internal motivation and external motivation(education support and government financial support) on the self-determination and the effect of senior-determination on the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship performance. A survey was conducted for 164 senior start-ups and most hypotheses were supported by SEM analysis. Based on these results, theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future research were presented.
