Pearson’s product moment correlation analysis was conducted in order to identify relationships between research variables. In addition, the mediated model of self-esteem between heavy academic and academic burnout was verified by using the structural equation. The results of the study are as follows: First, there was a significant moderate negative correlation between heavy academic and self-esteem, Second, there was a significant moderate positive correlation between heavy academic and academic burnout, Third, there was a significant moderate negative correlation between self-esteem and academic burnout, and Fourth, it was shown that in the process through which heavy academic was influencing academic burnout, self-esteem had a part mediation effect.
