본 연구에서는 KCR4와 KCR3.1의 단행본에 관한 목록규칙을 비교분석하였다. 연구방법으로는 KCR4에 있는 단행본에 대한 규칙을 서지기술 사항별로 나누어 KCR3.1에 있는 규칙과 비교하여 가면서 규칙이 다 른 조항들은 어떻게 다른지를 분석하였다. 이러한 분석결과는 도서관에서 단행본자료를 편목하는데 유용한 참고도구로서 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이며, 나아가 KCR4가 정보접근과 서지기술을 위한 확고한 표준 이 되는데 일조할 수 있을 것이다
Abstract
This study campares and analyzes the cataloging rules of the mo nographic publications included inthe 4th edition of the Korean Cataloging Rules(KCR) & the lst r evision of the 3rd edition of the KCR.Especially it focuses on the different rules applied for the sa me specified areas, such as Title & Statementof Responsibility Area, Edition Area, Material Specific Details Area, Publication, Distribution, Etc., Area,etc. As a result, this analysis can be useful for cataloging mo nographic publications and so that the KCR4will remain a viable standard for bibliographic description and ac ess into the future.
