초록

The purpose of this research is to comparatively analyze the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of both pharmacological and digital media smoking cessation programmes. Eight trials of the six articles and twelve trials of the seven articles found via MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PsychINFO are included for analyzing the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the pharmacological and digital media smoking cessation programmes, respectively. Whilst the pharmacological smoking cessation programmes are neither effective(OR=1.35 with 95% CI=0.98 to 1.87) nor cost-effective(-10.68 QALYs), digital media smoking cessation programmes are not only effective(OR=0.62 with 95% CI=0.56 to 0.67) but cost-effective(27.1 QALYs). This research suggests that promoting cognitive-behavioural elements via digital media is more effective and cost-effective policy option to increase smoking cessation rather than pharmacological intervention.
