치과위생사 국가시험 개선을 위한 조사연구

본 연구는 현행 치과위생사 국가시험의 효율적인 개선 방안을 마련하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위해 시도되 었다. 2008년 7월 1일부터 20일까지 치과병의원, 대학(교), 보건(지)소에 근무하고 있는 치과위생사 1,428명에게 직 접 및 우편조사방법으로 설문조사를 실시하여 응답이 완 전한 1,048부(73.4%)를 빈도 및 카이제곱 검정으로 통해 분석을 수행하였다. 01. 현행 국가시험이 치과위생사 국가시험의 목적에 타 당한지를 문의한 결과, ‘그렇지 않다’는 응답이 292 명(28.5%)으로 ‘그렇다’는 응답 210명(20.5%)보다 높았다. 02. 국가시험과목이 치과위생사 현장의 기본 임무 수행 능력 평가에 타당한지에 대해 문의한 결과, ‘그렇지 않다’는 응답 404명(39.5%)이 ‘그렇다’는 응답 165 명(16.2%)보다 높은 수준이었다. 03. 국가시험 과목에 변화가 필요한지를 문의한 결과, ‘그렇다’는 응답이 680명(66.9%)으로 ‘그렇지 않다’ 는 응답 99명(9.8%)에 비해 매우 높았다. 04. 국가시험의 문항 수에 대해서는 현행 문항 수가 ‘적 절하지 않다’는 응답이 353명(34.6%)으로 ‘적절하 다’는 응답 232명(22.7%)보다 높게 나타나 문항 수 의 변화가 요구되었다. 05. 국가시험의 문항형태를 문제해결력과 종합적인 사 고능력으로 변경해야 하는가에 대한 문의에서 ‘필요 하다’는 응답이 669명(65.4%)으로 ‘필요하지 않다’ 는 응답 106명(10.4%)보다 매우 높았다. 06. 현행 국가시험이 국제화를 뒷받침할 수 있는지에 대해 ‘그렇지 않다’는 응답이 624명(61.3%)으로 ‘그 렇다’는 응답 83명(8.2%)에 비해 매우 높았다. 07. 국가시험과목의 변화방향을 문의한 결과, ‘과목 통 합에 의한 문제해결형 문제 강화’에 대한 응답이 463명(45.4%)로 가장 높았다. 08. 통합과목으로 시험 시행시기에 대해서는 ‘임상근무 자’는 2010년, ‘교육기관 근무자’는 2012년에 시행 되기를 희망하고 있었다(P < 0.05). 09. 실기시험 방식에 대해서는 ‘수정되어야 한다’는 응 답이 647명(67.3%)로 나타났다. 10. 치과위생사 실기시험 방식은 ‘환자를 통한 임상시 험’이 628명(63.6%)으로 가장 높았고, 다음으로 ‘컴 퓨터 모의시험’에 대한 응답이 219명(22.2%)으로 나 타났다. 이상의 결과에서 치과위생사들은 현행 치과위생사 국가 시험이 개선되기를 희망하고 있기에 문제해결형 통합과 목 형태로 국제화를 뒷받침할 수 있는 새로운 문항개발이 이루어져야 된다고 제시된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition for improvement of the Korean Dental Hygienists' Licensing Examination(KDHLE). The subjects were 1,048 dental hygienists were surveyed, either in person or through mail. Data was collected using a self administrated questionnaire from July 1 to July 20, 2008. The data were analysed with frequency and χ2-test using the SPSS 15.0 Windows. For the inquiry where adequacy of subjects of the KDHLE regarding to evaluation of standard duty achievement ability in the real field was asked, 404(39.5%) answered ‘Yes’, and 680(66.9%) was answered ‘Yes’ for necessity of changing current subjects of the KDHLE. For the inquiry about the number of questions in the KDHLE, 353(34.6%) answered that current number of questions is ‘Inappropriate’ and advisable way of improving KDHLE subjects, 463 (45.4%) answered ‘enhancing problem solving ability through unifying subjects’, the highest of all. About practical examination methods, 647(67.3%) was answered ‘Should be modified’. For methods of dental hygienist practical examination, ‘clinical demonstration on patients’ received the highest number of votes 628(63.6%). According to the above results, most of active dental hygienists at presence expect the alteration of current KDHLE and new items which are reliable for globalization by testing problem solving ability through unified subjects must be introduced.
