초록

This study analyzed the relationship between adolescents' internet addiction and mental health, influenced by parental physical activity involvement, to explore effective strategies for mitigating the negative effects of internet addiction on mental health and promoting mental well-being. To achieve this, data were collected through a self-administered survey targeting 226 adolescents who played games in PC cafes in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. Based on the analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: First, in the relationship between adolescents' internet addiction and mental health, it was found that the positive expectations of internet addiction, reality differentiation impairment, and interpersonal orientation had a negative impact on mental health. Second, the difference in parental physical activity involvement showed a moderating effect only on the influence of interpersonal orientation on mental health among the factors of adolescents' internet addiction. Specifically, in the group with high parental physical activity involvement, the impact of interpersonal orientation on mental health exhibited a more significant change.
