초록
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of muscle electrical stimulation therapy and elastic band exercise programs on the range of motion and muscle function of shoulder joints in workers with a history of shoulder joint surgery who have a history of shoulder joint surgery among workers with a lot of upper body movement. To this end, this study selected 39 manufacturing welding workers working at Company H in City C who had a history of medication, surgery, and outpatient treatment for shoulder disease as research subjects, and randomly sampled 13 elastic band exercise (Band), 13 muscle electrical stimulation (EMS), and 13 combined therapy groups (Band+EMS) that combined elastic band exercise and muscle electrical stimulation therapy. Statistical processing of the collected data was performed using the SPSS statistical program to calculate the mean and standard deviation, and a two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was performed to verify the mean difference by group and time point. Post-hoc tests were performed using paired t-test and one-way ANOVA, and the significance level was set at .05. Through this, the following results were derived. Band exercise, EMS therapy, and combined treatment all showed significant effects after the pre-test compared to the post-test (p<.05). In a comparison between groups, combined treatment showed significant increases in ROM and muscle strength compared to Band exercise and EMS therapy (p<.05). Therefore, it was found that 8 weeks of Band exercise, EMS therapy, and combined treatment were effective in improving ROM and muscle strength. In particular, combined treatment is suggested to be more effective in improving shoulder joint function than Band exercise and EMS therapy.
