목적 : 본 연구는 중년 여성의 폐경 증상경험, 자가관리 역량, 사회적 지지와의 관계를 파악한 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 방법 : 본 연구대상은 45∼60세의 여성 140명을 대상으로 설문 자료를 이용하여 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 실수와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe’s test 및 Pearsons’s correlation coefficients를 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 폐경 증상경험의 빈도와 불편감은 낮았으며, 폐경 증상경험의 불편감이 빈도보다 높았다.. 자가관리 역량 부재가 높을수록 대상자의 폐경 증상경험의 빈도(t=-0.28, p=0.001)와 불편감(t=-0.24, p=0.004)이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 사회적 지지와 폐경 증상경험과의 관계에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론 : 결론적으로 폐경 증상을 경험하는 중년 여성의 폐경 증상경험의 불편감을 줄이기 위해 자가관리 역량을 증진시키는 간호 중재가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.
Abstract
Purpose: This descriptive correlational study was intended to analyze the relationship among menopausal symptoms. competency of self-care agency and social support in middle-aged women. Methods: Participants in the study were 140 women who were 45-60 years of old. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics., t-test, ANOVA, Scheffè’s test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: The frequency and discomfort of menopausal symptom were low, but the mean discomfort score were higher than frequency score. Middle-aged women with lower competency of self care experienced more frequent menopausal symptoms (t=-0.28, p=.001) and more discomfort (t=-0.24, p=.004). However, There was no significant difference in menopausal symptoms according to social support. Conclusion: Nursing interventions to enhance competency of self-care agency in middle-aged women are required in order to reduce the discomfort of menopausal symptoms.
