초록

데이트폭력 피해의 주된 대상자인 여대생 428명을 대상으로 데이트폭력의 피해의 위험요인을 분석하였다. 위험요인은 개인요인, 학교요인, 관계요인, 태도 요인, 가족요인에서 추출된 12 변수를 고찰하였다. 신체적 데이트폭력 피해의 위험요인은 학교요인, 관계요인, 태도요인, 가족요인으로 나타났다. 구체적으로는 학교요인 중 학업성취도, 관계요인 중 교제기간, 갈등이며 폭력에 대한 태도, 가족요인 중에는 부모의 결혼유지여부가 유의미한 변수로 나타났다. 따라서 학업성취도가 낮고 교제기간이 길며 남자친구와 갈등 정도가 심하고 폭력에 대한 태도는 허용적이고 부모가 결혼을 유지하지 않은 경우가 데이트 관계에서 신체적 폭력을 당할 위험성이 가장 높은 경우이다. 성적 데이트폭력 피해의 위험요인은 관계요인, 태도 요인, 가족요인이다. 구체적인 변수로는 관계요인 중 갈등이고, 폭력에 대한 태도, 가족요인 중 성장기 부모로부터의 폭력 경험이다. 따라서 남자친구와 갈등 정도가 높고 폭력에 대한 태도가 보다 허용적이며 성장기 부모로부터 폭력 경험이 많은 경우가 성적 데이트 폭력 피해의 위험성이 가장 높은 경우이다. 관계 갈등과 폭력에 대한 허용적 태도는 공통적으로 중요한 역할을 하는 위험요인이다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 대학생들이 데이트 관계에서 겪는 갈등을 다루는 기술에 대한 교육과 대화의 방법, 비폭력적 행동규범과 태도의 형성에 강조점을 두어야 함을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the risk factors of physical and sexual violence victimization in dating relationships among college students. 428 female college students were studied. The risk factors of physical violence victimization were ‘attitude toward violence,’ ‘conflict in the relationship,’ ‘relationship duration,’ ‘grades’ and ‘the intactness of the product family’. The risk factors of sexual violence victimization were ‘attitude toward violence,’ ‘conflict in the relationship’ and ‘physical aggression by parents in childhood’. Overall, ‘conflict in the relationship’ and ‘attitudes toward violence’ played important roles in physical and sexual violence victimization in dating relationships. However, contrary to the findings of some previous studies, ‘witnessing parental violence’ was not a significant risk factor in either physical or sexual violence victimization, while ‘physical aggression by parents in childhood’ was a risk factor only for sexual violence victimization. Implications for intervention and policy were suggested.
