Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of specialization of vocational high school and present the improvement of specialization of vocational high school. The biggest problem of specialization of vocational high school is that the strategy of specialization is imprecise. The basic propositions of specialization strategy of vocational high school are as follows. First, the specialization of vocational high school should be carried out with consideration of change of industrial structure and job structure. Second, the specialization of vocational high school should be carried out with consideration of need of students and students’ parents. Third, the specialization of vocational high school should be carried out with consideration of inside capacity of vocational high school. Fourth, the physical and systematic infrastructure should be equipped so that the specialization of vocational high school succeed. Fifth, the specialization of vocational high school should be carried out with consideration of vertical and horizontal differentiation. The components of specialization strategy are vision and goal of specialization, environment analysis, inside capacity analysis, strategy establishment, strategy execution, strategy control etc. These elements should be analyzed and carried out. Also, specialized curriculum should be developed so that the specialization of vocational high school succeed. And it is important to develop the evaluation system that can evaluate the effect of specialization of vocational high school systematically.
