Abstract
Objectives : This study is aimed at examining significant curative effect of Pyungjingunbitanggami-bang on CVA(Cerebral Vascular Accident) patients with Hyperlipidemia. Methods : These subjects in this study were sixteen and admitted patients at Dong-Eui University Oriental Hospital who broke out CVA from 1st November 2004 to 31st August 2005, besides they have high Total Cholesterol (240㎎/㎗ above) or high TG (200㎎/㎗ above).Before prescription, they were tested for Total Cholesterol, ALT, AST, BUN, Creatinine with fasting and then had been prescribed the herbs(Pyungjingunbitanggagam-bang) for 2weeks, They were tested for Total Cholesterol, ALT, AST, BUN, Creatinine rechecked the changes for 2 weeks. Conclusions : 1. In case of whole treatment group, Hypertension & DM group, and cerebral infarction group, the statistical significance of total cholesterol changes is recognizes before and after the treatment.2. Pyungjingunbitanggami-bang decreased Total Cholesterol in HT group, DM group, cerebral infarction group 3. In case of whole treatment group, HT group, DM group, the statistical significance of TG changes is not recognizes before and after the treatment.4. Hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity did not appeared when a patient who was accompanied with a stoke was given Pyungjingunbitanggami-bang.
