직업교육이 종래의 직무수행 능력과 기능적인 측면을 강조하는 교육은 변화하는 직업세계에 능동적으로 대처할 수 없고, 국가 경쟁력의 약화를 가져오는 원인으로 보고 있다. 따라서 최근의 직업교육은 다양화되는 산업사회에 창의적으로 적응해갈 수 있는 직업기초능력을 강조하고 있다. 직무수행에 필요한 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기관리능력 등의 직업기초능력 중에서 의사소통능력은 전문계 고등학교 학생들이 갖추어야할 직업 기초능력의 중요한 요소에 해당된다. 본 연구는 교과의 특성과 내용 등을 고려하여 탐구 학습 모형인 문제중심해결 학습을 적용한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 회계원리 교과에서 PBL모형은 직업기초능력의 의사소통 능력을 함양하는 학습모형임을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 말하기 능력은 큰 차이가 없었다. 그 이유는 기업 모둠 팀장 중심의 학습이 이루어져서 나타난 현상으로 보인다. 기초학력 저하 학생에 대한 지도대책이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, PBL 모형은 수업의 설계부터 모형 기법에 이르는 전과정을 구조화하여 적용하는 모형이다. 회계원리 교과의 특성에 맞추어 모둠별로 기업을 창업하고 교과 전 단원을 기업의 과정에 적용함으로써 실무체험을 할 수 있는 수업모형이다. 기존 수업 방법에 비하여 학습들의 수업 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 대부분의 학생이 PBL 모형은 긍정적 상호관계(positive relationships)를 증진시키는 데는 도움이 되었다. 넷째, 학생의 자기 주도적인 학습을 통하여 학생의 자신감을 갖게 되어 긍정적인 자아개념을 가지게 되었다.
Abstract
In vocational education, it is considered that the traditional education focusing on duty performance capacity and functional sides can not respond to changing professional world actively and brings weakening of national competitive power. Thus, recent vocational education emphasizes basic vocational competency allowing creative adaptation to the diversified industrial society. Among basic skills for duty performance including communication, problem solving, and self-administration, the communication ability is corresponded to the basic skill required for commercial high school students with low scholastic ability. Problem Based Learning class was applied, considering characteristics and contents of the subject and obtained following results. First, it was found that the PBL model was a learning model to develop the communication ability in the basic vocational competency in the subject of accounting principle. However, there was no significant difference in speaking ability. It was because the learning was accomplished centering on the leader of company group. It was suggested that a measure for teaching students with low scholastic ability was needed. Second, the PBL model is a model to structuralize and apply the whole process from lesson design to modeling technique. It is a lesson model to provide an experience of practical affairs by founding a company by groups and applying all topics of the subject to operation process of the company according to the subject characteristics of accounting principle. It was found that the lesson satisfaction of students was higher than that of traditional lesson manner. Third, it was found that for most students, the PBL model was helpful to improving their positive relationship. However, it was suggested that more active participation in discussion activities should be complemented further. Forth, it was found that the lesson model was helpful to formation of positive self-concept by giving confidence to the students through self-directed learning.
