A Case Report of Mahaenggamseog-tang Treatment of a Patient with a Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

Objective: This study aimed to describe the effects of Mahaenggamseog-tang on a patient with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. Methods: The patient was treated with the herbal medicine Mahaenggamseog-tang. Treatment effects were evaluated using blood laboratory tests [alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST)], abdominal ultrasonography, body weight, and an individual strength checklist score. Results: After treatment, improvements were observed in ALT and AST levels, abdominal ultrasonography findings, body weight, and the individual strength checklist score. Conclusion: These findings suggest that Mahaenggamseog-tang can be effective in managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
