본 연구는 고등학생들의 과학 학습에 대한 동기 요인을 면담 기법으로 분석한 것이다. 과학 학습에 영향을 줄 것으로 기대되는 동기 요인인 통제 소재 지각, 목적-수단 관계 기대, 자기 조절 기능, 자아 효능감, 계속 동기에 대해 고등학생 24명을 대상으로 심층 면담(반구조화된 개별 면담)을 실시하였다. 과학 학습에 대한 동기 요인의 사례 분석 결과, 통제 소재 지각 유형에서 성공 또는 실패에 대한 원인을 주로 노력에 두고, 외적 요인에 두고 있지 않았으며, 지각 수준은 전체적으로 높았다. 목적-수단 관계 기대 상황에서는 대부분의 학생들이 외적 보상을 목적으로 하였으며, 기대 수준은 전체적으로 높았다. 자기 조절 기능 수준은 중 수준에 집중적이며, 자아 효능감 수준은 높거나 낮은 극단적 경향을 보였고, 계속 동기 수준은 전체적으로 낮았다.
Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze the motivation factors of high school students on science learning via an interview process. The inquiry focused on locus of control, goal-means expectancy, self-regulatory skill, self-efficacy, and continuing motivation factors which were expected to affect to science learning. The study investigated 24 high school students in order to collect data. The verified results through this study were as follows. An analysis of motivation factors on science learning determined that the cause of success or failure in locus of control was mainly effort, an internal factor, because the level of perception was generally high. In the state of goal-means expectancy, most students aimed for extrinsic rewards, and the level of expectancy was generally high. The level of self-regulatory skill was mid-centered whereas, the level of self-efficacy was either low or high, varying between extreme, Lastly, the level of continuing motivation was found to be generally low.
