연구배경본 연구는 무용전공 여자대학생들의 무용형태, 종단적 환경 및 신체질량지수가 신경성 대식증에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 무용수들의 바람직한 체중조절 및 식습관에 관한 기초적 자료를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 방 법H대학, Y대학 무용과에 재학 중인 여자대학생 197명을 목적표집(target sampling)을 사용하여 데이터를 수집하였고, 신경성 대식증에 대한 무용전공자들의 실태를 알아보기 위하여 Thelen의 Bulimia Test-Revised(BULIT-R)을 기초로 하여 본 연구의 내용과 관련된 문항을 중심으로 설문지 초안을 작성하였으며, 심리적 영향, 식습관, 체형만족, 체중조절, 신경성 질병 등의 20개 문항으로 구성하였다. 모든 자료통계처리는 SPSS(Ver 11.0)를 이용하였고 빈도분석, 직교회전방법을 사용한 요인분석, t-검증(t-test), 일원분산분석, Scheffe-검정, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결 과무용전공자들은 학년이 높아짐에 따라 체형만족에 대해서 불만족하는 것으로 나타났으며, 식습관에 있어서는 학년이 높아짐에 따라 불규칙한 식습관을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신체질량지수가 높아짐에 따라, 신경성 대식증 증상이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 결 론무용전공 여자대학생들은 학년이 높아질수록 체형에 관하여 불만족스럽게 인식하고 있으며, 또한 불규칙한 식습관을 갖게 된다. 신체질량지수가 높아짐에 따라, 신체질량지수가 클수록 신경성 대식증 증세가 높아질 가능성이 크므로 무용수들의 신체질량지수를 관리 할 수 있는 전문가의 양성 및 제도의 마련이 시급하며 이에 대한 더욱더 심도 깊은 연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
Background The purpose of this research was to provide fundamental data about weight controlling and eating habit by analyzing the effect of dancing type, vertical environment, and Body Mass Index (BMI) on Bulimia Nervosa in college female dancers. Methods By using the method of a target sampling, the data were collected from 197 female students majoring dancing at H-university or Y-university. The data collection was based on using Bulimia Test Revised (BULIT-R) of Thelen(1991), consisting of 20 questions about psychological effect, eating habit, body shape-satisfaction, weight control and nervous disease and so forth. All statistically processed data were collected by using SPSS, frequency analysis, varimax-method, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's multiple range test and regression. Results With the growing up of grades, the female students didn't satisfy their own body shapes and their eating habit became irregular. The symptoms of Bulimia Nervosa statistically increased as Body Mass Index did(p.01<0.05). Conclusions From this result, Bulimia Nervosa of the female students majoring dancing indicated that those students didn't satisfy their body shapes as their grades grew up, and it causes irregular eating habit that increases Body Mass Index. The symptoms of bulimia nervosa had a chance to be related to the increment in body mass index(BMI), so that it is really needed to educate those experts who can control the BMI of dancers, make relevant systems supporting this and also further researches needed.
