Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of primary, middle and high school science teachers about the Intelligent Science Lab management according to school level. The instrument in surveying their perceptions about the Intelligent Science Lab management consists of 3 domains such as utilization of the Intelligent Science Lab, satisfaction with the Intelligent Science Lab management and educational effects of the Intelligent Science Lab. A total of 108 science teachers(42 primary, 18 middle and 48 high school teachers), who were working at 111 model schools of the Intelligent Science Lab, participated in the survey. They had highly positive perceptions about all domains of the Intelligent Science Lab management. Science teachers were found to be most active in experimental and presentation activities in the intelligent science lab, most frequently using tablets & laptops, and data collection sensors among digital inquiry tools. They were very positive of the use of the Intelligent Science Lab and the Intelligent Science Lab-ON in science classes and extracurricular activities. Most science teachers responded that they would continue to use the Intelligent Science Lab. Although there were some differences in the facilities and utilization methods of Intelligent Science Labs in elementary, middle, and high schools, science teachers perceived that the use of Intelligent Science Labs had activated scientific experiments and inquiry activities. The results suggested that the Intelligent Science Lab would be expected to contribute to fostering future capabilities of students in science education.
