A Comparison Study on Speaking Verbsin Southern and Northern DynastiesThe article researches on “Speak(说)” type verbs in the Southernand Northern Dynasties by using the theory of semantic field. Theperiod of the Southern and Northern Dynasties was an important period of the Chinese language history. In that period thevocabulary was filled with the characteristics of the times, and literaturematerial was relatively rich, however, the material was very complicated. We chose Song Annals(宋书)、Shishuoxinyu(世说新语)、ShiSongLv(十诵律) to analyze “Speak(说)” type verbs. We mainly analyze the evolutionand development of related words in the field. At the same time, wemade the combination and polymerization relationship. it’s to analyze thedifferences and similarities of vocabularies changes in different kinds ofliteratures by comparing the usage of basic vocabularies.
