Abstract

The Command and Control Vessel for Naval Unmanned Systems represents a next-generation naval weapon system with autonomous operation and remote control capabilities, and is characterized by network-centric command, control, and mission execution. While this architecture enhances operational efficiency and coordination, it also introduces vulnerabilities to various cybersecurity threats such as GPS spoofing, network intrusions, sensor data manipulation, SCADA system attacks, and DDoS attacks. This study proposes an application strategy for the K-RMF and evaluates its effectiveness through quantitative analysis. We identified key security vulnerabilities in the vessel and assessed risks by considering factors such as attack occurrence and success probabilities, detection, response, and recovery times, and damage scale. The results confirm that K-RMF security controls can serve as an effective framework for strengthening the vessel's cybersecurity. These findings are expected to provide practical and foundational data for establishing cybersecurity policies and improving operational systems in unmanned weapon platforms.
