Abstract

This study aims at describing and analyzing mission and duties of psychomotricity twho provides the adapted physical activities for the disabled. In the study, descriptive and qualitative research methodology was employed. Date was collected from those psychomotricities who are currently working at the disability-related institutions. In the data analysis, DACUM(Developing A Curriculum) method was employed in order to observe which duties were required for psychomotricity in its frequency, importance, and difficulty. As a first step of DACUM(Developing A Curriculum) method, seven missions and twelve four jobs were conducted from the data analysis of the expert committee. At the second step, data collected through questionnaires were encoded through SPSS WIN 20.0 Program and mission and duties of a psychomotricity were analyzed with mean and standard deviation. As a result, seven missions of psychomotricity were drawn from the data.: public relation and improvement of recognition, diagnosis and evaluation, assessment and support of psychomotricity, closing and case management, education, self-development, and academic research. In mission 1, 'public relation and recognition improvement' consisted of 4 items such as affiliation with other institutions, understanding of disability through psychomotricity, keeping people informed of necessity of psychomotricity, and excavation of users. In mission 2, 'diagnosis and assessment' consisted of 5 items such as confirmation on requested matters, collection of basic data, observation of behavior, evaluation of functional and preparation of diagnosis and evaluation report. In mission 3, 'assessment and support of psychomotricity' consisted of 2 items such as preparation of sessional evaluation and long and short-term objective evaluation. In mission 4, 'concluding and case management' consisted of 4 items such as evaluation of effectiveness, preparation of feedback plan, preparation of conclusion report, and case management. In mission 5, 'training' consisted of 4 items such as training of users, training of care givers, training of community, and training of employees. In mission 6, 'self-development' consisted of 2 items such as completion of supplemental education and receipt of supervision. In mision 7, academic research' consisted of 3 items such as investigation of desire for psychomotricity support, case study, and program development.
