장애인 엘리트 사격선수들이 지각하는 제약요인 분석

본 연구는 장애인 엘리트 사격선수들이 실제 운동 환경에서 겪고 있는 제약요인을 분석하기 위해 시작되었다. 이는 장애인체육 진흥 중장기 계획 수립 이 후 엘리트 체육 분야의 지원은 양적 성장세를 이루었지만, 실제 수혜자인 장애인 엘리트 선수들이 느끼는 내면적 평가와 체감정도 사이에는 상당한 괴리가 있다는 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로, 실제 장애인 사격이라는 세부종목에서 선수들이 느끼는 현 지원체계의 문제점과 참여제약을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 13년간 장애인 사격 선수 생활을 하고 있는 연구자의 내부자적 위치를 활용하여 총 7명의 연구대상자들과 두 달간 면담을 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 귀납적 추론 과정을 통해 장애인 엘리트 사격선수들이 경험하고 있는 다양한 참여제약 요인들을 다각적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 장애인 엘리트 사격선수들은 체계적인 시스템의 부재, 경제적 부담, 내재적 제약의 형태에서 참여제약을 느끼고 있었다. 첫째, 체계적인 시스템의 부재에서는 장애인 엘리트 사격 선수들은 적합한 체육시설의 부재와 보조원의 전문성 부족, 그리고 지도자의 장애인 선수에 대한 이해가 결여된 전문성 부족에서 참여제약을 느끼고 있었다. 둘째, 경제적 부담에서는 사격종목의 특성상 고가의 훈련 장비와 제한된 훈련 장소로 인한 훈련비용의 부담감, 가정의 생계를 담당해야 하는 경제적 책임감으로 인해 참여제약을 느끼고 있었다. 셋째, 내재적 제약에서는 장애인 엘리트 사격선수라는 소수 집단에서의 제한 된 자원획득을 위한 경쟁으로 인한 집단 내 갈등, 정부의 이원화 된 지원으로 인한 차별감 인식으로 인해 참여제약을 느끼고 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of study was to examine the constraints that disabled elite shooting athletes on a regular basis. According to previous studies, the ‘Long-term plan for disabled sports promotion’ in 2007 contributed to increasing the number of supports and the evaluation reflected the positive growth in disabled sports. However, despite to this evaluation, there was a significant gap between the actual growth and what the perspective of the disabled athletes were experiencing. Based on this gap, this study examined the number of problems with the current support systems have, and the constraints that disabled elite shooting athletes were experiencing. For this examination, a total of 7 disabled elite shooting athletes who was a member of the national team were interviewed using an inductive reasoning approach over two months. To analyze the collected data, content analysis, thematic analysis and triangulation methods were used for the trustworthy purpose. The results of this study were identified through three factors; environmental factor, financial factor, and immanent factor. 1) In environmental factor, disabled elite shooting athletes felt the participation constraints against inappropriate facilities and the lack of understanding for disabled athletes of coaches and assistants. 2) In financial factor, they felt the constraints against financial burden for training costs because of expensive training equipment and limited training facilities. They also suffered financially to pay for their living. 3) In immanent factor, they felt the constraints limited resources due to a small number of people in a team, and discrimination caused by unfair support from the government compared to general elite athletes.
