Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze physical education purposes perceptions for the parents of student with disabilities. It verified the differences in perception according to three independent variables which were type of disability, level of grade and experience of integrated education. The subjects of this study were 355 the parents of student with disabilities who lived Seoul and Kyunggee province in Korea. A questionnaire designed to measure physical education purpose for the parents of student with disabilities. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach's α value and it was .9445. Statistical methods employed in this study were t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows : first, the parents of student with mental retardation and emotional disorder group showed a higher perception level in all three key concepts and seven major concepts than the parents of student with orthopedic and multiple disabilities group. Second, the parents of student with disabilities who studied middle and high school level showed a higher perception level in the areas of 'environmental coping' than the parents of student with disabilities who studied element school level. Third, the parents of student with disabilities who had experience of integrated education showed a higher perception level in the areas of 'individual development' and 'environmental coping' than the parents of student with disabilities who didn't have experience of integrated education.
