Abstract
This is a study to delineate movement patterns of the mental disturb. Samples of this study were 15 mental disturb with symptom of mood disorder, anxiety disorder, and personality disorder. Three qualitative measurement factors of the LMA(Laban Movement Analysis) was employed to evaluate samples' movement patterns. Results of the study indicate that movement patterns of the samples were differ by classification of mental disturb. The results of this study are as follows: Anxiety disorder tends to demonstrate 'on-time response' at the initial stage of DMT program, while persons with personality disorder or mood disorder shows ignorance or hesitation to the initial intervention of therapist. Personality disorder demonstrated higher score on the intentional factor such as weight, stay, and vertical movement. on the other hand, samples with mood disorder or anxiety disorder showed higher score on the decision factor such as front-back, time elements, and sagittal movement. There is a gender difference in the movement pattern of emotional disturb. Male samples was dominated in the decision factor and intention factor, while female samples demonstrated physical movement with decision and attention factor. Therefore, male samples tend to demonstrate movement with front-back and vertical factor. However, female samples shows movement with front-back side and horizontal factor. This phenomenon was due to the male samples' experience regarding physical activities.
