Abstract

】A Comparative study on East Asia 'the Other' imageKim, Chang-HoThe comparative literature Imagology researches the other image which is depicted to the literary work of one nation. From East Asia literature company the other image appeared most plentifully in 20 century first half year. I compare Korean author An Su-gil's "The Rice Plant" With Chinese author Li Hui-Ying's "Mount Wan Bao", and Japanese author Ito Einoske's "Mount Wan Bao" by applying the comparative literary methods of imagology. These works made the Mount Wan Bao event which at all 1930 spring occurs from the Chang Chun suburb with material. It will reach and to lead it discovered the next two branch East Asia feature. First, expressed the other image the many works appear only one 'the Other'. To the East Asia literature which is created but that time is related with own nation the image of the different two nations appeared simultaneously. Second, generally regarding the other it affirms from image research the 'Utopia' With it confronts to the other and it negates it shares with the 'Ideology'. But to this time East Asia literature it was a new image and also the Identity appeared. Also same event it was described consequently with each other different in the history tube and the art sense of the author.
