Abstract

"Critical Review Over the Existing Opening System of a Family Registry(Ho-Jeok)" Heung-Ahn MoonIn Korea, reading and issuing an abstract or copy of a family registry is limited due to the revision of the Family Registration Act in 2000 and the partial revision of the enforcement regulations on the premise of the principle of opening a family registry. However, to keep the current system together with the principle of opening a family registry which is a valuable treasure of privacy information would question its validity at present situation that social demand for protection of privacy is being emphasized.
