Some view lawyers as champions of justice who are to be held to a higher code of moral responsibility than members of other professions.Others view lawyers as hired guns who are paid to advance their clients' interests using whatever means necessary. The body of law concerning professional for lawyers practising in korea reflects both views. While this body of law espouses the idealistic notion of a lawyers as a champion of justice, it is drafted in a pragmatic manner that acknowledges the adversarial nature of the profession
