평면조형에서 빛의 수용과 표현에 관한 연구

평면조형 표현의 여러 요소 중 빛은 조형언어로서 조형공간과 중요한 관계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 오늘날 개인의 정체성에 주안 한 포스트 모던 시대에 빛을 표현하는 시각예술표현에 있어서 새로운 방향성을 모색하고자 한다. 그리고 향후 그래픽, 광고, 일러스트레이션 등 시각디자인 영역에서의 빛의 수용과 표현을 명확히 하기 위한 기초연구로서 평면조형의 빛의 수용과 표현 등을 알아보는데 목적을 두고 있다. 빛의 근원을 찾고자 원시미술에서부터 현대미술까지의 역사적 과정에서 빛의 어떠한 표현적 변화가 있었는지를 조사하고, 시대별 작품 분석을 통해 평면조형의 조형적 특징을 분석하였다. 공간과 빛의 해석의 관계는 시대정신의 변화와 더불어 다변화되고 중세의 성화에서는 광선이나 색채의 효과를 신의 상징으로, 르네상스 이후의 빛과 색채는 인간 중심의 서정적 효과에 초점을 두었다. 또한 20세기에는 빛 자체의 순수성을 강조하는 오르피즘운동이나 광선주의 등이 탄생되고 최근의 포스트모던 시대는 일렉트로닉 아트, 테크놀로지 아트 및 디지털 아트, 정보화 시대의 예술의 흐름에 따라 가상공간 속에서의 조작적인 빛의 효과나 인공적 빛이나 색채에 대한 활용이 다양해져 가고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다.본 논문에서 고찰된 변화만 보더라도 평면조형에서는 색채가 빛을 대신하여 표현되어 왔고, 빛은 색채를 통해 실현되어졌고 또한, 빛은 더 이상 2차원에 3차원을 그려내기 위한 것의 수단이 되어 있지 않고 다양하게 변화하고 있다. 현대 삶의 다양한 이미지들을 해석하고 다양한 매개체를 통한 빛을 조율하여 평면조형 작품에 접목한다면 새로운 장르 출현의 가능성이 열릴 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
Among the elements of Molding Plane, light is a formative language and has a significant relation with the formative space. The aim of this study is to find new possibilities and directions in visual art expressing the light of the post-modern era that emphasized today's personal identity. In the future, it is aimed to learn acceptance and expression of light of Molding Plane as basic research to clarify acceptance and expression of light in visual design field such as graphic, advertisement, illustration. In search of the origin of light, we investigated what kind of expressive changes of light in the historical process from primitive art to modern art, and analyzed the formative features of Molding Plane, through analysis of the works of the period. The relation between space and light interpretation is diversified by the change of the spirit of the times. In medieval sanctification, the effects of light and color are symbols of God, and after the Renaissance focuses on human-centered lyrical effects. Also, in the 20th century, based on the logic of pure perception, Orphism and Rayonnisme emphasizing the purity of light were born, but recent postmodern times are based on the flow of electric arts, technical arts, digital arts. You can see that the effect of the manipulation light in the virtual space of artificial light and color is diversified. Even in the case of the changes observed in this paper, color has been expressed in place of light in plane crude, and light has been realized through color. Also, light is no longer a means of drawing three dimensions in two dimensions, but it is changing in many ways. Interpretation of various images of modern life and coordination of light through various mediums are expected to open up the possibility of as emerging a new genre.
