Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to explore the relationships between festival-specific leadership and regional citizenship behavior. In the case of intangible product such as festival, visitors’ perceived image of festival depends on citizen’s pro-regional behavior because citizens have a role of participants and service provider. Therefore, it is needed leadership to make citizens do pro-regional behavior. It introduces festival-specific leadership(altruistic calling, emotional healing, wisdom, and persuasion) as the determinant factors for regional citizenship behavior(participation and obedience). Data were collected from 550 respondents in 10 different regions and regression analysis are used in order to test hypothesis. As hypothesis predicted, statistical analysis shows that festival-specific leadership significantly influences regional citizenship behavior. All festival-specific leadership such as altruistic calling, emotional healing, wisdom, and persuasion have effects on participation and obedience. A discussion of the key findings and directions for future research were provided.
