Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explain implicature based on accommodation as a reasoning mechanism that figures in communication among intelligent agents. Accommodation works with speaker meaning as a sort of intention as well as the notion of the conversational record as data structures to make implicature possible. This research sets off from the problems of Grice's theory on implicature, specifically that the theory lacks in its explanatory power of how implicature is induced and concluded.(Hoseo University)
