요한복음을 통해 본 한반도 통일신학적 함의

남북 분단이라는 민족의 아픈 현실 속에서 통일을 위한 다양한 시도들이 있어왔다. 한국 기독교 내에서도 여러 가지 다양한 시도들이 있었다. 그러한 이러한 시도들을 함에 앞서서 필요한 것은 성경을 바탕으로 한 통일신학이 세워져야 한다는 것이다. 그런 차원에서 성경신학적인 접근이 필요한 것이다. 다른 본문에서도 발견 할 수 있겠지만 특별히 본 논문에서는 요한복음을 바탕으로 한 통일신학을 세우려고 한다. 이에 요한복음 내에서 통일신학적인 본문들을 찾아 본다면, 요한복음 4장에 나오는 사마리아 여인과의 대화는 통일신학의 중요한 전제를 담고 있다. 당시의 통념적으로 차별을 당했던 사마리아에 대한 예수님의 태도와 접근 방법은 통일을 위한 교회의 지침이 될 수 있다. 요한복음 17장에 나오는 예수님의 마지막 기도는 하나님 아버지와 아들 예수, 그리고 제자들 또한 미래의 신자들 사이의 관계로 확장이 되는 것을 볼 수 있는데 이것은 통일신학에 있어서 그 범위가 한국에서 북한으로 확장이 되는 하나의 믿음 공동체를 이루는 노력이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 요한복음 18장의 예수님과빌라도의 대화 속에서는 하나님의 나라의 본질을 깊이이해 할 수 있다. 예수님이 왕이신 나라는 이 세상에 속하지 않는다는 선언은 남과북이 정치적, 경제적인 통함을 넘어서 하나님의 나라를 이룩하여야 한다는 신학적기초를 제공한다. 요한복음의 이러한 장들을 통해 도출된 성경신학적 접근은 성경신학적 기독교 통일신학을 형성하는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다고 본다.
Abstract
In the painful reality of the division between North and South Korea, numerous efforts have been made toward reunification. Within the Korean Christian community, various initiatives have also been undertaken. It is essential to establish a theology of reunification grounded in the Bible. In this regard, a biblical-theological approach is necessary. Although it can be found in other texts, this paper specifically aims to develop a theology of reunification based on the Gospel of John. John chapter 4 provides significant insights. The actions and teachings of Jesus, particularly His inclusive and understanding attitude in His conversation with the Samaritan woman, offer a theological premise for the reunification of North and South Korea. In Jesus’ final prayer in chapter 17, Jesus articulates the relationship between God the Father and Himself, the relationship between Himself and His disciples, and the relationship between the disciples and future believers. This highlights the importance of unity, which is crucial for the theology of reunification, suggesting that the Korean church must embody this unity in its mission toward North Korea. In chapter 18, where Jesus engages in dialogue with Pilate, provides a profound understanding of the essence of the kingdom of God. Jesus’ assertion that His kingdom is not of this world lays a theological foundation for a reunification that transcends mere political or economic integration. The biblical-theological approach, drawing from these chapters in the Gospel of John, will play a crucial role in formulating a biblical-theology of reunification.
