초대교회 공동체의 선교신학이 코로나 시대 한국교회에 주는선교적 함의

초록

서기 2~3세기는 초기 기독교 공동체의 형성에 있어서 중요한 시기이면서도 서구와 비서구 신학의 구별이 없던 시대로써 기독교 선교신학 형성에 대한 하나의 전형을 잘 보여주고 있다. 이 시기의 초대교회 공동체가 행했던 선교는 한국적인 선교신학이 비서구세계(Non-Western World) 또는 다수세계(Majority World) 신학의 한 주축으로 역할하는 데 있어서 표지로 삼을 수 있는 중요한 함의를 내포하고 있다. 또한 이 시기에 발생한 대규모 역병들이 이후 로마제국 전반의 운명을 좌우하였을 뿐 아니라 당시 초대교회 공동체의 선교신학 형성 과정에도 지대한 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있다. 필자는 본고에서 서기 2~3세기 초대교회가 기독교 박해의 시기와 맞물려서 발생한 대규모 역병의 위기를 헤쳐 나오는 과정에서 형성한 선교신학과 선교봉사적 실천에 대한 분석을 통하여 지금 코로나 시대를 맞은 우리나라의 교회 현실에 적용할 수 있는 선교신학과 선교봉사적 실천적 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Abstract

This paper explores the outbreak of Antonine and Cyprian plagues in the Roman Empire in the second and third centuries and how they shaped the early Christian community's missional theology. This particular period is identical in shaping the early Christian community that exhibits no discernment between Western and Non-Western theology. This paper also explores the development of the early Christian community's mission theology during this period of which the prototype of Christian mission practices performed. Besides, this paper examines the early Christian community's missional practices to provide practical implications for the Korean Church. Out of this insight, the researcher suggests how the Korean Church presents an appropriate missional approach, especially at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Korean society.
