Tentmaker Mission is a mission strategy with its firm and clear foundations on the Bible with many sources. Furthermore, it is one of the most urgent mission strategies in the situation of the rapid expansion of the missionary restricted areas in the world. Tentmaker mission has been continued throughout world church history too. Tentmakers in orthodox church, Roman Catholic Tent maker missionaries, workers and chaplains of east India corporation, Moravian tentmakers, Tentmakers of Basel mission in Switzerland, William Carey and his co-workers, financial supporters of Student Volunteer Movement are representative examples of tent-maker mission who used their occupation as mission tools or targets. Hans Küng affirms the apostacy of all Christians before God, which implies all Christian can be missionaries, not just ordained ministers. Furthermore, Hendrik Kraemer also supported tentmaker mission with the concept and theology of laity. Lausanne Conferences have been continuously reaffirming the theological foundations of tentmaker mission as a biblical strategy (1974, 1989, - 45 - 2004). All these shows that tentmaker mission is a firm and biblically founded mission strategy which can be and should be widely used in modern world both restricted and open mission fields. In order to activate and motivate tentmaker mission, mission concept of church members has to be changed or modified in the first place. Christians' concept of missionary to be ordained pastor is main factor that hinders tentmaker mission. Futhermore, mission structure which is mainly constructed in accordance with missionaries of ordained pastors also has to be changed. Church structure needs to be changed to mobilize and support tentmaker missionaries. Tentmaker mission is one of the most important and necessary mission strategy in modern world mission.
