전주 문화재 ‘야행’ 프로그램의 현황과 추진전략

Abstract

This study explored the background and purpose of the cultural heritage ‘nighttime event’ program planned and pushed ahead by Cultural Heritage Administration in 2016. In addition, present situations of the Jeonju cultural Heritage ‘nighttime event’ program propelled by Jeonju on May, 2018 was analyzed to derive the problems and search for solution measures. The biggest purpose of the cultural heritage ‘nighttime event’ program was to activate the local economy and expand the content value of the cultural asset in the region. For this, it is significant in many ways to break away from festivals centered in Seoul, which are equipped with the base of cultural or tourism industry infrastructure, and plan a dispersive local festival. Ultimately, dispersion of local festivals will contribute to the general expansion of Korean wave. It is analyzed that the Jeonju cultural heritage ‘nighttime event’ program that was held on May, 2018 will heighten the application value of the unique traditional cultural heritage in Jeonju. This study suggests the ‘directivity of the night festival of local cultures’ and forecasts the ‘development potentials of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage and cultural contents’ in order to active the Jeonju cultural heritage ‘nighttime event’ program. Furthermore, by closely examining the cultural programs that were executed in the Jeonju cultural heritage ‘nighttime event’ program, the strategies and the directivity will be inspected critically. The aim is to rediscover the traditional cultural heritage in Jeonju and ruminate over the commitment of activating the local economy.
