임화 시에 나타난 ‘밤’과 ‘태양’의 의미―초기시와 발굴시를 중심으로

Abstract

So far, the early poetry of the Im Hwa has not received much attention. The first reason is that the poet, who was called the symbol of KAPF (Korea Artista Proleta Federatio), was mainly interested in poetry after joining the group. The second reason is evaluations The second reason is the undervaluation of the type and contents of poetry before joining KAPF. Even though the previous unique personality of a poet changed through the affiliation and experience of a particular organization, it cannot completely disappear. With this judgment, this study reviewed the Im Hwa’s early poetry. The series of works he published in 1924 showed the sense of loss to the object of 'love’ and self-hatred, but it was not clear what caused the emotion. In 1926, things began to change. Im hwa, who had been thinking about 'art of tomorrow', put 'night', which condensed the reality of the world, where science and religion can not function, as the position of personal symbol. Those who share the feeling of loss were also embodied in the people of Korea. As a result, previous self-hatred turned into a positive attitude. I believe that the experience in KAPF had played a major role in this belief in philosophical prospects and literary intervention. However, such changes would not have been possible without the immanent deliberation of the early poetry. The excavation "Mal-se (The end of the world)" intentionally revealed class consciousness. But the decisive work that showed the progress of the early poetry of Im Hwa was the excavation "Sin-jo-tae-yang (Newly making sun)", which had a desire for the "Sun", which conflicted with "Night". It was because of the 'sun' that he could drive out 'night' in the future that allowed him to call himself a 'poet of the night'. It is not the ideologies of classism and nationalism that form the essential confrontation in his poetry, but 'night' and 'sun’.
