한글 점자 받아쓰기 학습 시스템이 시각장애학생의 맞춤법 능력 향상에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 시각장애학생의 한글 점자 맞춤법 능력의 향상을 위하여 한글 점자 받아쓰기 학습 시스템을 개발하고 이를 시각장애학생의 받아쓰기 수업에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 점자정보단말기(한소네Ⅱ)와 C++언어를 기반으로 하여 2010년 5월부터 8월까지 한글 점자 받아쓰기 학습 시스템을 개발하였고, 개발한 시스템을 서울, 부산, 대전, 강원, 충북지역에 소재한 시각장애학교 4, 5, 6학년 40명에게 2010년 10월부터 2011년 2월 말까지 적용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 한글 점자 맞춤법 중 ‘소리에 관한 것’의 사전-사후검사 결과에서는 총점과 구개음화와 모음 하위영역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한글 점자 맞춤법 중 ‘형태에 관한 것’의 사전-사후검사 결과에서는 총점과 어간과 어미, 접미사가 붙어서 된 말, 준말 하위영역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 한글 점자 맞춤법 중 ‘그 밖의 것’의 사전-사후검사 결과에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발한 한글 점자 받아쓰기 학습 시스템은 한글 점자 맞춤법 중 ‘소리에 관한 것’, ‘형태에 관한 것, ‘그 밖의 것’ 모든 영역에서 사용 효과가 있는 것으로 간주되어진다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop the Korean braille dictation learning system to improve the Korean braille orthographic ability of visually impaired students and to apply the system to the dictation class of visually impaired students to verify its effectiveness. Based on braille information instrument (HansoneⅡ) and C++ language, the Korean braille dictation learning system was developed from May to August 2010, and the developed system was applied to 40 students in year 4, 5, 6 at the schools for the visually impaired located at Seoul, Busan, Dajeon, Gangwon, and Chungbuk area from October 2010 to late February 2011. As the result of the study, the pre/post-assessment results for 'sound-related' among Korean braille orthography was found to have a statistically significant difference in the subdomains of vowels and palatalization, and the overall score. Second, the pre/post-assessment results for 'form-related' among Korean braille orthography was found to have a statistically significant difference in the subdomains of stem, ending, suffixed words, and abbreviations, and the overall score. Third, the pre/post-assessment results for 'others' among Korean braille orthography was found to have a statistically significant difference. Therefore, the Korean braille dictation learning system is regarded to have usage effects in all areas of 'sound-related,' 'form-related,' and 'others' in the Korean braille orthography.
