$k$-th roots of $p$-hyponormal operators

Abstract

In this paper we prove that if T is a k-th root of ap-hyponormal operator when T is compact or Tn is normal for someinteger n > k , thenT is (generalized) scalar, and that ifT is a k-throot of a semi-hyponormal operator and have the property (T)is contained in an angle <2k with vertex in the origin, then T issubscalar.
