We study the factoriality of a nodal hypersurface $V_d$ of degree $d$ in $\PP^4$ when there is a quadric surface containing all the nodes of $V_d$. As a corollary, we obtain partial results concerning Ciliberto--Di Gennaro Conjecture on the factoriality of nodal hypersurfaces of degree $d, d=5, 6$, in $\mathbb{P}^4$.
Abstract
We study the factoriality of a nodal hypersurface $V_d$ of degree $d$ in $\PP^4$ when there is a quadric surface containing all the nodes of $V_d$. As a corollary, we obtain partial results concerning Ciliberto--Di Gennaro Conjecture on the factoriality of nodal hypersurfaces of degree $d, d=5, 6$, in $\mathbb{P}^4$.
