중국의 월극(越劇) 심청전 연구 - 한국 <심청전> 내러티브의 변용을 중심으로

Abstract

This study is for researching the <Shimcheongjeon> and the process of narrative conversion of <Wolgeuk Shimcheongjeon>, which is conversed from <Shimcheongjeon>, with the social background. The local administration in Korea and China intervened with the strategy of cultural contents in the process of conversing <Shimcheongjeon> to Wolgeuk(Yueh opera). Goksunggun, Southern Jeollado in Korea symbolized the <Simcheong> as the item to develop the local culture. In this process Goksunggun utilized the tale <Wonhongjang Story> in the temple ‘Kwaneum’. And it formed relationship with Botagu, Jusansi, Jeolgangseong in China. Goksunggun in Korea and Botagu in China created <Wolgeuk Shimcheongjeon> intended as the cultural contents, and the narrative of the classical novel <Shimcheongjeon> is changed. The narrative of <Wolguk Shimcheongjeon> is put together with <Shimcheongjeon>, <Wonhongjang Story>, which is original story of the novel <Shimcheongjeon>, and the ‘religion of the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy’ in Mt. Bota in Jusansi, which is the background of Shimcheong’s life. The followings are noticable. 1) Dowhacheon in Goksunggun is applied as the spacial setting. 2) Wonhongjang’s name is changed to Shimcheong,, constructing the supposition ‘Wonhongjang is Shimcheong’. 3) The love rival Simbang-Yonggongjang and the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy appear newly. Even these changed narrative the theme, Shimcheong’s filial piety is maintained to the last not to lose the consistency with the classical novel <Shimcheongjeon> After all the strategy of cultural contents between Korean and Chinese local government is applied in this conversion. This study reminds us that the worth of literature as cultural contents should be concentrated consistently.
